Fallout 3 (FAQs) The freedom may scare people used to more linear shooters and the simplified customization might disappoint hardcore RPGers, but if ever a game was worth broadening your horizons for, this is it.

Monopoly (2008) (Cheats)
This mismanaged recreation of family fun offers nothing to draw you away from the real thing, and it reprehensibly lacks online support. Compare prices for Monopoly (2008) (PS3)
Need for Speed Undercover (Cheats)
Still a dependable source of middle of the road fun, but it sadly takes few risks. Compare prices for Need for Speed Undercover (PS3)
Tomb Raider: Underworld (Cheats)
Fixing some of the issues that made Legend only pretty good, Underworld's focus is entirely on platforming, and it's all the better for it. Compare prices for Tomb Raider: Underworld (PS3)
Call Of Duty: World at War (FAQs)
Treyarch ditches the number subtitle and expectedly returns to WWII and the Pacific theatre of war. World at War has extremely brutal gunplay and amazing online multiplayer and co-op modes, but don't expect much new and improved beyond CoD4. Compare prices for Call Of Duty: World at War (PS3)
The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (Cheats) Once again Spyro can do no better than be too boring and difficult for the kids it wants to sell to, while being too kiddy for adults. On the other hand the drop-in/drop-out co-op is good, and Elijah Wood is good as Spyro's voice actor.

Dead Space (FAQs) The original and terrifying new IP from EA cribs tricks from all the greats of survival horror's past, but manages to do it so well that it doesn't really matter. The action and controls are fantastic, and the atmosphere and monsters will get under your skin. We wish there was more of the original stuff, like the inventive Zero G sections, but we can live with this, since it might be the best game of this type since Resident Evil 4.

Resistance 2 (FAQs)
This amazing sequel expands in scope and action everything that was great about the first. Compare prices for Resistance 2 (PS3)
Silent Hill: Homecoming (FAQs) The fifth entry in the dark-as-death survival horror series improves rapidly after a dull first few hours, but you can’t escape the feeling that it’s a pseudo pastiche of Silent Hill 2, with clunky cameos from Pyramid Head and nods to previous events.

Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe (Cheats) If you want depth or maturity, look elsewhere; but if you can turn off your brain and give in to the silliness and simplicity of play, MK vs DC is a great diversion.

Shaun White Snowboarding (Cheats)
Pretty plain and flat compared to, say, SSX, but it's a solid downhill experience with a very open online system. Compare prices for Shaun White Snowboarding (PS3)
Valkyria Chronicles (Cheats)
This game has looks and depth, from its amazing graphics to its tactical gameplay. Don't miss out on what looks like a cult classic in the making. Compare prices for Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (Cheats)
Spidey is back on track after a pretty lackluster couple of games. Not perfect, but a real good time. Compare prices for Spider-Man: Web of Shadows (PS3)
Mirror's Edge (Cheats) A unique and enjoyable re-imagining of the First-Person Action Adventure genre, though a little rough in some small bits (also be wary if you suffer from motion sickness).

Blitz: The League II (Cheats)
Maybe it lacks the depth, features, lineage and professionalism of Madden, but Blitz 2 makes up for it in over-the-top drug use, violence and crimson blood to be a crazy good time (emphasis on crazy). Compare prices for Blitz: The League II (PS3)
NARUTO: Ultimate Ninja STORM (Cheats) Save up your ninpo (and cosplay costumes made of items purchased at Hot Topic) for this Naruto fighting game made for the current gen.

Tom Clancy's EndWar (Cheats)
This Tom Clancy title takes the strategy route, allowing for online competition with army troops numbering in the hundreds. It’s a more accessible RTS making use of unique yet embarrassing voice controls. Compare prices for Tom Clancy's EndWar (PS3)
WWE SmackDown! vs Raw 2009 (Cheats)
A great game that fixes last year's mistake, while adding a whole new mode to an already stacked package. Compare prices for WWE SmackDown! vs Raw 2009 (PS3)
LittleBigPlanet (Cheats)
LittleBigPlanet is a game that’s virtually infinite in its content, and the platforming isn’t too bad either. PS3 finally has its killer app. Compare prices for LittleBigPlanet (PS3)
Guitar Hero World Tour (Cheats) Guitar Hero branches out for its fourth core installment by adding drums and vocals to the mix, as well as allowing us to unleash our own musical creations upon the world via its in-built music studio.
